Counts every rated character of this season, a number that keeps growing as the season runs. Early in a season it is small and top-heavy.
How 3v3 Arena PvP ratings are distributed in US
This page shows every rated 3v3 Arena character of the selected season in US. The chart, percentile table and rating lookup use the same selected class and specialization filters, so they answer where a rating sits in that specific sample rather than in every WoW PvP queue at once.
Why the sample changes during a season
Every character with a rating in the selected season is counted, and that number grows as more players queue. Early-season distributions can therefore be smaller and more concentrated near the top than a later snapshot of the same season.
In-season inflation and season history answer different questions
Rating inflation follows daily ratings within the selected season. The season trend uses the final ratings of past seasons. Use the first chart for current movement and the second one to compare how completed seasons ended.
3v3 Arena rating distribution FAQ
- What does the rating distribution count?
- It counts the characters in the selected season, region, bracket and optional class or specialization filters. Solo Shuffle and Blitz are rated per specialization, so one player can appear once for each specialization they queue.
- Why does the histogram start at 1000 rating?
- The visible chart starts at 1000 to keep a small low-rating tail from compressing the useful part of the scale. The page labels how many characters are hidden from the chart, and totals and percentile calculations still use the full selected sample.
- What does rating inflation mean here?
- It is the movement of the selected bracket's daily ratings during one season. It does not predict title cutoffs or show MMR, and it should not be compared directly with the history chart of final ratings.
