What is in the September 2026 Trading Post

September's Trading Post runs on a friendship theme and arrives alongside a BlizzCon 2026 outlet that puts more than three hundred previously retired items back on sale. The regular stall holds 48 items; the outlet adds 330 more, including 22 monthly bonus rewards that have never been purchasable before.

The headline collectibles are these.

Prices and contents below come from Blizzard's September announcement. Buying the entire regular stall would cost about 6,530 Tender, so unless you have been saving for months this is a month for choosing rather than collecting. The sections below cover what is worth the choice.

The monthly reward: Crested Ember Leafmimic

Filling the Traveler's Log bar to 1,000 Travel Points awards the Crested Ember Leafmimic, a red chameleon style ground mount added in patch 12.1. It cannot be bought, and it is gone when the month ends.

It also completes a set. The Aqua and Verdant Leafmimics sit in the stall at 500 Tender each, so a collector who wants all three needs 1,000 Tender plus a filled log. That is the whole month's normal Tender allowance spent on one set of three mounts, which is the single biggest budgeting decision September asks of you.

Gummi: the pet that was never buyable

The most interesting item in the stall costs 250 Tender. Gummi was a promotional battle pet given away through a Trolli and Xbox campaign that ran from September 2024 to February 2025, and only in the United States. For everyone outside that window and that region it has been unobtainable.

Blizzard describes this as the pet arriving on the Trading Post for the first time, and it fits a pattern that has been building since earlier in the year: previously promotional rewards migrating into Tender purchases. If you collect pets, this is the item to buy before the month turns, because there is no guarantee about when a promotional item returns a second time.

Mounts in the regular stall

If you were playing last September and passed on the Breezestrider and the Gryphon, this is the second chance, and it is priced identically. If you were not, treat the two Leafmimics as the genuinely new purchases and the other two as filler.

Armour: what 30 to 100 Tender buys

September's wardrobe is built around two colour families, Aquatic and Brick, plus a set of five wrist pieces that carry the month's friendship theme. Everything here is cheap by Trading Post standards, which makes the stall a good month for transmog hunters on a budget.

The Speaker's Ceremonial Collection is the best value per appearance in the stall at nine pieces for 575, but it returns from September 2025, so it is only a bargain for players who missed it then. Among the cheap items, the five Bracelets of Friendship are the only wrist appearances offered, and wrist slots are chronically underserved in transmog.

Weapons: fourteen appearances at 150 each

Every weapon this month costs 150 Tender, and together they are the largest block of genuinely new appearances in the stall.

The gem naming means each design comes in three colours, so the practical choice is one colour of each shape rather than all fourteen. At 150 apiece, three weapons cost more than a mount.

The BlizzCon 2026 Outlet: 330 returning items

The outlet is the reason September matters more than a normal month. Four suppliers stand next to the usual Trading Post vendors in Dornogal and Silvermoon City, and between them they sell 330 items that left the shop in previous months.

The outlet stock breaks down as 22 previous bonus rewards, 59 mounts, pets and toys, 109 armour appearances and 140 weapon appearances. Prices run from 10 Tender for a single wrist piece up to 800 for a full ensemble. Blizzard says the outlet vendors carry discounted items, and Wowhead reports the discounts landing between 30 and 75 percent of original prices, though Filmore's bonus reward stock is largely undiscounted.

Notable returns among the collectibles include Tyrael's Charger, Celestial Steed, The Dreadwake, Blazing Hippogryph at 650, Riding Turtle at 600, Spectral Gryphon and Spectral Wind Rider, plus the Spirit of Competition and Pandaren Monk pets at 200 each and the Mannequin Charm toy at 10.

Twenty-two bonus rewards on sale for the first time

This is the part of the month that will not come around often. Monthly bonus rewards have historically been earnable only by filling the log during the month they were offered. Filmore now sells 22 of them.

Ash'adar at 900 is close to a full month of Tender on its own. If one of these has been missing from your collection since the month it was offered, it should outrank anything in the regular stall.

How much Tender you can actually earn this month

A normal month gives 1,000 Tender. September gives 1,200, and the extra 200 has an expiry date that most guides have not connected to the outlet.

The drop windows are narrow. Twitch runs from 12 September at 09:30 PDT to 27 September at 10:00 PDT, and the YouTube window is far shorter, 12 September 09:30 PDT to 13 September 19:00 PDT. Attendees linking a BlizzCon pass to a Battle.net account have until 18 September.

Longer watch times pay in items rather than currency: four hours for the Cuddly Blue Grrgle housing decoration, eight hours for the Fluffy Comfy Flying Quilt mount, twelve hours for the Venomous Champion's Illustrious Banner toy.

What you have seen before

Five items in the regular stall are re-releases at unchanged prices, which matters if you are deciding whether to spend now or wait.

The pattern is worth noting for future months: September stock has now repeated across two consecutive years at identical prices, so an item you skip is not necessarily gone forever. That is the opposite of the calculation for Gummi and for the outlet's bonus rewards, which have no history of returning.

How the Trading Post works

If you are new to it, the system is simple and has three parts.

Trader's Tender is the currency. You receive 500 automatically each month from the Collector's Cache as long as your account has active game time, and up to 500 more from the Traveler's Log. Unspent Tender carries over between months and does not expire. There is a one time bonus of 500 on your first ever visit.

The Traveler's Log lives in the Adventure Guide, opened with Shift and J, and needs a character of at least level 10. Its activities rotate every month and are themed; you do not have to complete all of them, only enough to reach the point thresholds.

The freeze lets you hold one item so it stays available in later months until you buy it or replace it with something else. Drag the item into the panel at the bottom of the shop window. If you want one expensive item and cannot afford it this month, freezing is how you keep it.

The Trading Post itself stands in four places: outside the Mage District in Stormwind, next to Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar, in Dornogal on the Isle of Dorn, and in the renewed Silvermoon City. The outlet suppliers are the ones in Dornogal and Silvermoon. Stock rotates on the first of each month.

What to buy first on a 1,200 Tender budget

Priorities depend on what you are missing, but the ordering below holds for most collectors.

Buy anything from Filmore that you missed. The 22 bonus rewards are the only items in the game that were previously locked to one specific month of log completion. Everything else in September has either returned before or plausibly will.

Then Gummi, at 250. A region locked promotional pet reaching the shop is rarer than a mount re-release.

Then the two new Leafmimics, if you want the set. They cost 1,000 together, which is nearly the whole month, so this is an all or nothing decision rather than something to split.

Cheap transmog last. The 30 to 50 Tender pieces are genuinely cheap, but they are also the category most likely to return in a future September, on the evidence of the last two years.

The Traveler's Log this month

The log pays the same way every month. Five instalments of 100 Trader's Tender arrive at 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1,000 Travel Points, and the Crested Ember Leafmimic waits at the end of the bar. Activities rotate monthly and are themed, and you never need to complete all of them, only enough to cross each threshold.

September's specific activity list had not been published anywhere at the time of writing, including by the community trackers that normally transcribe it within the first week of a month. Rather than invent one, here is the scale you can plan against, taken from last September's log: 72 activities worth roughly 7,145 points against the same 1,000 point bar. In other words the bar asks for about a seventh of what is on offer, which is why it fills without deliberately hunting activities.

For a PvP player last September, the highest value rows were worth 200 points each, among them earning 7,500 Honor, winning ten non-skirmish arena matches, and winning five battlegrounds. Five rows of that size fill the bar on their own. If September 2026 follows the same shape, a normal week of rated play plus the honour you accumulate along the way covers the whole month's Tender without a single detour.

Two details worth stating plainly

There is no cap on banked Tender. The currency carries no maximum quantity in the game's own data, and no Blizzard document or player report describes one. What people mistake for a cap is the monthly earning limit: 500 from the Collector's Cache plus up to 500 from the log, so 1,000 a month in a standard month, and September is standard apart from the BlizzCon drops.

Stock rotates on the first of the month, and Blizzard has never published the hour. The one community thread that tried to pin it down produced three contradictory answers, and the only consistent observation is that European realms saw new stock before American ones, which points at regional resets rather than a single global switch. Treat the first of the month as the deadline, not the first minute of it.
